About Edenbridge

The market town of Edenbridge is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley. It offers well-connected roadways and it’s two stations, Edenbridge and Edenbridge Town, provide rail links to neighbouring East Grinstead to the west, Royal Tunbridge Wells to the east, with a train to London Bridge within 45 minutes.

Edenbridge is surrounded by countryside and has countless opportunities for walks, cycling, and outdoor activities. You can discover the town’s heritage on an enjoyable amble around the town and its historic buildings known as the Edenbridge Town Trail. The Eden Valley Museum showcases the rich history of the region.

Edenbridge market was established by Henry III in 1227. Once the site of a regular cattle market, the rings for tethering the cattle can still be found on the east wall. Today it is known as Market Yard hosting a general market on Thursdays.

Just 2.5 miles outside Edenbridge is Hever Castle the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Set in 125 acres of glorious grounds and built in the 13th century, it was the Boleyn family from 1462 to 1539. Today it offers visitors a glimpse into Tudor history.
4 miles in the opposite direction is Chartwell House, the former residence of Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine, where you can stroll around the estate taking in the views of the tranquil hidden ponds, magnificent lake and enchanting walled garden.
